NOAA Ernest F. Hollings Scholarship

This program provides successful undergraduate applicants with awards that include academic assistance for full-time study during the nine-month academic year; a 10-week, full-time internship position during the summer at a NOAA facility; and, if reappointed, academic assistance for full-time study during a second nine-month academic year. The internship between the first and second years of the award provides the scholars with hands-on practical educational training experience in NOAA-related science, research, technology, policy, management, and education activities. Awards also include travel funds to attend a mandatory NOAA Scholarship Program orientation, conferences where students present a paper or poster, and a housing subsidy for scholars who do not reside at home during the summer internship.

NOAA Educational Partnership Program Undergraduate Scholarship

This program provides scholarships for two years of undergraduate study to rising junior undergraduate students majoring in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields that directly support NOAA's mission. Participants conduct research at a NOAA facility during two paid summer internships. Students attending Minority Serving Institutions as defined by the U.S. Department of Education (Hispanic Serving Institutions, Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Tribal Colleges and Universities, Alaskan-Native Serving Institutions, and Native Hawaiian Serving Institutions) are eligible to apply for the program.

Shannon Point Marine Center National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduates
